Cascade Canyon Trail stretches 9 miles through Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. In August of 2021, artist Kristen Ross hiked this path with her mom and sister, amid the haze of wildfire smoke.

Kristen Ross is a contemporary landscape painter based in Boulder, Colorado. She paints the places she loves to explore, celebrating the complexities of the West's wild spaces with vivid colors and intricate detail.
